Measure and describe the work
Note what needs repair or building, rough measurements and the material you prefer: solid wood, plywood or laminate. Share photos or a reference design. Mention if the job involves drilling into walls or removing old furniture.
Settle materials and hardware
Agree on who buys the board, laminate, hinges, channels and handles, and which brand or grade is used. Ask for a written list of materials for larger work. Inspect samples before they are fixed in place.
Agree on time and finishing
Ask how many days the work will take, how dust and waste will be cleared, and whether polish or edge finishing is included. For bigger jobs, agree on stages of payment directly with the carpenter. LocalSnappy does not set rates or hold payments.
